Not really a fan of the Rockford files but he had a considerable portfolio of films with considerable range. Thirty Six hours was a very interesting film as was The Americanization of Emily, he was a pretty good race car driver like Macqueen an Newman. His comedies with Doris Day and his westerns are also very easy to watch repeatedly.
Some of my favorites were Duel at Diablo, Cash McAll, Hour of the Gun, Sayonara, Support Your Local Sheriff and Support Your Local Gunfighter.
However not sure I ever forgave him for Victor Victoria or his liberal views however he did serve our country with distinction so he earned the right to express his views unlike the liberals of today.
