I have one of those gas grills with folded S.S. steel 'flavorizer' plates. It's built-in so I'm not replacing it this winter.
I tend to get hot spots and less than hot spots on it so that's ok for some meats but I'd sure like it more even overall.
Has anyone tried thin BBQ stones on their gas grill? Does it work?
It's just handy after coming home from fixing HVAC all day to have a hot grilled meal in a 20 minutes. Sometimes before the 2nd beer.
