questions on faulty Rheem prof.40-36 water heater
Our Rheem water heater started to leak today. We have owned our home for 2 years and are not sure if the heater is still in warranty. The serial number is CNNG1002A11217. After looking on the internet, we think the heater was installed October 2002, can someone confirm this? What does the warranty actually cover? The heater was leaking badly at the bottom and we had to drain it. What do you think is the problem and do you think the heater should be replaced or can it be repaired?

Mnay come through with only a 5 year warranty on the tank.
The serial number can only tell you when it was made, not installed.
It may not have been installed until 2003.
Your tank is not repairable.
Time for replacement.
