So after running the head pressure up and seeing better TXV metering-did the clog clear permanently? And are we talking oil clog or something else? How has it been performing? Is this on the ALA- N Coil?

Hmmm...we have an inside guy saying it's a run of mischarged bulbs.

I used the fan disconnect trick on one yesterday - but I thought I was forcing the valve to open a bit...not clearing distributor tubes.
Is the Religious Right to blame for Christianity's decline?

They argued that, as the Religious Right became increasingly visible and militant, it became associated with Christianity itself. And if being a Christian meant being associated with the likes of Jerry Falwell, many people—especially political moderates and liberals—decided to simply stop identifying as Christians altogether.

Are they using Sporlan valves? We've had major problems lately with those valves on Rudd units.

I think Trane also had this problem about 2 years ago. My owner had 3 changed in like a month and a half..... He said Trane said it was a bad batch of TXV's.

How much superheat do we charge the bulb to? Just weigh in 0.00000000000000012 oz?

Our bad valves were Danfoss TXV. I believe the replacement bad ones we installed (also failed) were Danfoss. Expecting a shipment tomorrow- it will be interesting to see what brand and how new off the line they are...

    DUMBEST I say
Then you haven't had to replace a York Commercial TXV that has the 12 or 15 tube distributor as part of the valve. Can't replace the valve without the distributor and all of the lovely distribution tubes interlaced with the 2nd stage identical valve and tubes.....that IMO is THE DUMBEST DESIGN EVER!

I believe he is referring to charging the sensing bulb on the TXV....obviously one cannot charge this bulb in the field as this is done by machines at the manufacturer. I believe his question was rhetorical and funny too...js

My local Copeland rep tells me that R-22 change overs require a filter drier right besides the inside coil. He says even if the outside unit has a filter drier inside it, it still requires a additional filter and that 410-a change overs are now a different story about the 2 inline filters being a no-no.
He goes on to say that many txv's are showing up with a sticky substance clogging up the orifices in the txv caused by small amounts of left over mineral oil or the flushing agent.

Having some Major issues with TXV's....hearing a lot about leaking evap coils similar to when Lux aire had a huge problem when the first went micro channel....the Rep gave us a line there was a bacteria that caused the leak....so my answer was..let me get this right...the condenser coil got sick on the way here....REALLY believable.....

got a 30 ton Carrier RTU on a job delivered (only 2 weeks late on a 6 week lead time) the comfort link control locked out right away....circuit A with no gas...piping looked AWFUL.....found a leak at the EVAP...not fun to find on a start up on a Friday....

Bottom line I think a lot of the manufacturers are having quality control issues due to the rise in demand and lack of supply.

Yes but r11 flush and those other bad word cleaners do, if not completely removed. Something happens with the combination of mineral oil and the flushes or just the flushes them selves and poe. I got from a Copeland training class. Tell it to Copeland. It was not my idea. They claim that they get a lot of TXV'S back with gooyie crap in them on 410-a change outs. I never had a problem.

Ask your Copeland rep if he likes flushing the system out on converted R-22 line sets. He was not able to tell me what caused the problems in the TXV'S. He only said to add another LL drier before the evap coil to catch it.
