    what is the differece between U Factor and K factor

    The answer is alot of formulas etc....a Google search would show these.

    Quick answer:

    K factor: Thermal Conductivity, defined as the rate of heat transfer through a homogeneous material in BTU per hour per square foot of area per F temperature differential per inch of thickness.

    U factor: Thermal Resistance, defined as the resistance of a material to heat flow and is, by definition, the reciprocal of a given heat transfer coefficient.

    K factor is straight with three angles. U factor is very curvy.
    Leadership...the ability to move forward even when you've burned your foot.

    Because

    Till now i am calculating cooling loads manually with know concepts and by taking U factor in to consideration.

    Now i have started using a software called 4M Fine HVAC which is an integrated environment with drawing for cooling load calculation, psychrometry calculations and air duct network design.

    This s/w is using SI units and they are considering K factor for all walls, openings etc..

    I am getting the results almost similar if i consisder the same ufactor as kfactor.
