I didn't inspect it, I seen the mess and told him it all had to be replaced regardless. He inquired about price, I told him "I don't want to insult you, but you probably don't want to hire us to do this". That was based on the fact that all that return duct was recently done by a "friend", and as previously stated the house is for sale. Plus he was wiring in a dryer circuit while I was looking at his system in amazement.

So I'm thinking this situation holds little potential for me, because he certainly won't appreciate what we provide. Anyhow he pressed further, I gave him a number, he thought it was "absurd". I collected my diagnostic fee and left. Needless to say I haven't heard back and for that I am genuinely happy.
