    Honeywell Stat Filter Alarm

Gotta HW T238A2004 stat that will alarm when it's time to change the filter. It's a time based function that I am wondering exactly how it counts. Does it actually start counting when the system runs in heating or cooling and than stops counting when the cycle ends or is it basically a calender day counter? The reason I ask is I'm thinking of using it as a cycle counter to determine actual system run time, if it actually works that way.

I believe that stat counts blower (indoor fan) run time.

The timer will count accumulated fan run time
