    Confused heat will not shut off

    hello everyone,

    quick question, my furnace will not shut off. Does anyone have any idea what this problem could be. maybe give me a couple of ideas on how to diagnose this problem. any info. will help tremendously. thank you all very much.

    turn it off at the emergency switch and call for service
    there is no way of knowing what is going on over the net

    turn it off now and call for service or you can wait and call the fire dept. latter

    t-stat? Set to 'off' not 'heat' and see if the furnace shuts off in a couple minutes. If it continues running turn off the switch at the furnace and call for service. If it shuts off, call for service and a t-stat

    Based on this and...

    previous posts you are a diy'r. Call a pro and have them check out your entire system and be done with it.
