    Univision Debate

I was flipping through the channels and on channel ocho they were having a republican debate for a spanish speaking audience. WTF? I thought this was the U.S. Presidential debate, for Americans, not Mexicans.

Well, for one thing, there is actually a territory of the USA that only speaks spanish... And yes, they get to vote in spanish. And actually 1/4 of the world's population speaks Spanish, not just Mexicans.

Second, there are millions of American Citizens that speak spanish, they are pandering to a special interest group. You seem suprised that politicians would do this.

Not really suprised, just frustrated, feeling that all of us are just standing by while as we are being dealt upon instead of doing the dealing.

Why is that a suprise to you? It all used to be Mexico.... There are people who live in the South West who's families have lived in that reigon longer than there has been a United States Of America....

But that was not the territory I was referring to.

It's high time that we as U.S. citizens recognize that while capitalism may bring more of those in this hemisphere to this country to cash in on this giant ATM, the Marxist politics that they bring with them will play right into the hands of the Democrats.

It means more workers for capitalists at less $$
and more voters for socialist/nanny staters.

    It's a lose- lose situation.

It's an implosion waiting to happen.

And yes, I do mow my own lawn(s)...

In the mean time, the $$$ is losing it's value, and China is the true owner of US manufacturing base as we speak.

    Ooopps.

Buy hey, you can hire a Mexican house framer for $8.00 an hour....

But with what standards will they frame? At this point, I don't think it is the "gov'ts job" to be the sole inspector/enforcer of the building process, although it's generally accepted that we DEFER to their use of authority to be the enforcer/inspector. This saves us the time of having to learn how framing at $8.00/hour may pose a long-term risk to our investment.
Nonetheless, it's not someone else's job. We have, though, delegated it to others.

I ask, at what cost, can we continue to farm out services in the private sector to the lowest bidder?

It's a simple matter of "supply and demand"...

It is not a simple matter when the migrant worker part of the market is effectually subsidized with social services.
How is that "simple"? It can be reduced as a force by eliminating the social services, and by prosecuting the employers. Very little "rounding up" of immigrants would be needed. Make the market dry up and many of them will have to reevaluate their options.
