Worked on an ice machine today
Manitowoc 2 evap water cooled system. Left hand bin sensor was bad. Man, what a P I T A that was! Got it done though.
How do they expect you to get to that damn thing????
Of course the clip broke off. It seems to be staying on there OK so I'll just hope I don't have to go back and replace the evap side just for that stupid clip.
Anyhow, It's over for now. Another 12 hour day. Spent 1/2 on the roof freezing rebuilding a RTU and the other 1/2 in a basement full of condensers and a big ice machine sweating.R2B4BTU

I actually do a lot of small refrigeration. PITA but it's a living.
Made my own cap tube for a beer line glycol chiller the other week. Worked out nicely. The original cap tube was too tight for the POE oil and kept causing a restriction. Went to a larger tube and all is well so far.
I would still rather be on a snowy roof than a hot cramped restaurant/bar basement.
It's 9:15 PM, past bed time now. Gots me a snowy roof to be on at 0800 tomorrow.

I love ice machine work. Give me the old hot kitchen with the greasy condensor, the basement with 2 5 hp condensing unit sitting side by side and it is 105 degrees in that basement. I love it. Ok so i might be a little off but I do like it. I guess it is all in a days work.
