    Yeah and your total friction loss should be no more than 0.5" of water. I would suggest looking into free air return as much as possible if you need to reduce the total pressure loss.

    You shouldn't go over 0.1"/100' for supply and 0.08"/100' loss for return to keep your velocities and friction losses reasonable. The Duculator is not that hard to use and it's a great tool. Thank you very much

    Your return air has approximately a 4 to 5 % increase in cfm and that's why you should use a lower friction factor. It's also easier in most cases to have the return duct size increased and this will help in the overall reduction in friction losses and increase the air flow accordingly. Thank you very much
