    HVAC Condenser location code

    What are the health and zoning codes for city of chicago for the backyard placemement of HVAC condenser, compressor unit?

    There are no code requirements for a condensing unit. Maintain manufacturer's recommended clearances, usually 36" for the service side and 18" on the others. As far as zoning, I am not sure, but I wouldn't put it in front of the house

    whatever the manufacture installation is, and the clearences from utilitys

    just dont place it near a dryer vent
