    CB26UH Question

My girlfriend and I are just now starting to use our heat (its out first winter together!) Anyways, the unit will kick on for about five seconds and then shut off, it will repeat this for a bit. Im assuming that its to maintain the set room temperature. Well, is there any way to set it so it won't kick on unless it drops by at least 3 degrees in temperature? Unless I'm crazy, doesn't the unit suck up the most energy when it kicks on, thus not exactly saving us energy/money? Im just concerned that this first month with it on the bill is going to triple. Any tips that you have, or possible fixes would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in Advance,

Time to call a contractor to check it out. Sorry, no DIY help is available.
