    10-year Parts and Labor warranty?

From what I'm understand from the site these new systems are very complicated and are going to break down once or more times in the first 10 years so I am seriously thinking about getting a 10 year P/L warranty on our new system. It seems that several threads have recommended it. I'd be interested in your opinion.

BTW my existing 40-year old system has never broken down!

Yes, get one - as long as it is through Equiguard or the equipment manufacturer itself. Don't buy a dealer's warranty.

Today's stuff is cheap and parts are expensive as is labor. Odds are very great in 10 years you'll need something, at least a hot surface ignitor.
