    Moving soon...what to buy?

I'm replacing my 35 year old Rheem oil furnace with a gas furnace, however since I plan to move within the next 1-2 years I'm wondering whether to buy a basic 80% 1-stage vs a 90+ efficient 2-stage furnace. Since I won't reap the longer term fuel savings, any thoughts on whether I will recoup the extra $500-$1000 when I sell?

As my realtor told me when I was selling my house. As long as the thing works, that is all that matters to the potential buyer. They don't care if more efficient or not. You'll probably put a home warranty on it to make the buyer feel better. Call a few realtors in your area to ask if it will increase the value of your home. We're HVAC guys, not realtors. Most on here will probably tell you that it will increase the value of your home. But who really knows about your area except REALTORS. We can give you advice on getting rid of that nasty cough though.
