    Zone Dampers

Is there a difference between Carrier zone dampers and Honeywell zone dampers? can they be used interchangibly?

The zoning system will be a Carrier Infinity system but the installer said he prefers using honeywell zone dampers for ease of "standard" and parts replacements.

Is this ok? Should I insist on using the carrier dampers?

Have you asked your contractor if they can be used interchangably with the Carrier Infinity system? If they can be, then I think it's fine. They're just zone dampers after all. Sorry I can't offer any technical/professional advice on this matter; maybe others can.

Be careful with bumping threads; it's against the site rules.

Sorry for the bump...just worried that after a couple of days my post may have gotten lost.

Infinity dampers are powered open and closed. If the Honeywells are spring open they are not compatible.
