    Comments please on one system proposed by a contractor

    HERE ARE THE EQUIPMENT MODEL NUMBERS

    Furnace: 58MVB 100-20
    Condensing unit: 24ana748--four ton
    COIL: CNPVP48
    INFINITY CONTROL: SYSTXCCUIDO1-A

    All new supply line etc. Any comments/sugestions would be appreciated. House is located in Washington dc, and built in the 1930 with little insulation other than storm windows and blown in insulation in the attic. The house has a basement and two living levels and an attic which is not used and is closed off. The house has appoximately 2800 feet of living space on the two floors and the finished basement combined. Thanks for your cooments P. S.Sorry for any double posts

    Sounds like a good system. It may be beneficial for you to do other upgrades first like better windows, better insulation, sealing the house up...ect....ect....You may find that you don't need a 4 ton system for your house once you do those upgrades......Also one system to keep a 3 stories conditioned is going to be a big task in itself.
