    Carrier open rtu controller

A Trane voyager with tracker system was removed and a Carrier rtu installed with an open rtu controller capable of using 4 different protocols to communicate with the tracker. It came configured for Bacnet @ 17600 baud rate. Couldn't get comm established, tried 9600 baud no luck. Any ideas what I'm missing?

I believe the Trane Trackers use Lon. And the Trackers frontends I have seen appear to use screen sets specific to their own control boards and points.

Trane Tracker talks Trane Comm3/Comm4 to the RTU. You will not talk to a Carrier Open RTU. Your only option is to add the RTU card to the Tracker panel. This will allow R,G,Y,W to the RTU.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I was finally put in touch with Mr. Sawyer at Trane controls division who told me the older version of tracker won't communicate with the carrier open no matter what you do. A zn517 or tcm mounted in unit is the only solution. But I saved the best for last while checking out( national acct) the guy at EMS who monitors the Hvacr told me there is a work order in the system to replace all existing controls!! Thought they should have done that when rtu was replaced......

Believe the open controller is bypassed if you use to thermostat terminals and you will lose some function (econimizer)
