Carrier Gt130-6110

Hi, I have a carrier package unit that has a bad board and am being told it is 6to8 weeks out. It has an EXV that will not function without com from the board. So we are at the point of considering putting in a TXV in order to make it possible to run. It seems like kinda gutting control sequencing (bad board) and putting an alternative means of staging is where we are at. Has anyone run into this,and if so how did you go about it. Is there a controller recommended for doing this?
