Carrier infinity 18 A/C-???-Is this a new model?

Checked the Carrier web site and saw a new model I think--- an infinity 18 A/C. I have a bid for their 17 infinity model. Is the 18 model a new one? I am getting confused. If so is there a significant difference between the infinity 17 and 18 thanks. ron

Can you link us to where you see this? I don't see an 18 SEER Infinity A/C. I see a 24ANA1 and a 24ANA7 for A/C.

Carrier has a new line of A/C and heat pumps out. You can purchase 13,14,17,21 SEER condensing units. Now you cant just buy the condensing unit and expect to get the SEER the equipment must be a matched set. To break it down you would need the proper Carrier furnace/A coil or airhandler matched with the proper condensing unit to recive the SEER rating you are looking for. Along with that you should be able to get a tax cut/ money back check with your local carrier dealer
