    Carrier vs. York

Looking for opinions about a new furnace and a/c combo. Trying to decide between the Carrier Infinity 96 furnace and a/c and the York Affinity modulating package with a/c. York is a little more $$. Just wondering which one is better. Also any opinions on heat pumps would be great. Location is in WI.

York. I think the modulating furnace would be a good option if your ductwork can handle it, etc. With a heat pump instead of an air conditioner, that would make for a great dual fuel setup (gas and electric).

Carrier! Better technolgy, more efficent, 410A capable and probably a better warranty.
Ductwork has to be capable of it though.
York is good but I've seen more issues with York than Carrier.
Carrier has Infinity control York's control can't even compare.

York is modulating input, Carrier is 2 or 3 stages.

York has nice R410a equipment too

OK, Carrier has the Infinity control, I'll give them that!

Either would be great if properly sized & installed. Finding a good installer is harder than choosing equipment.
