Samsung Mini Split Heat Pump Wiring
Gentlemen,
I'm new to HVAC mini split systems. We just received AQV12JA mini split heat pump and have a question regarding the wiring, hope someone can help.
In the installation manual, it says:
"The outdoor unit is powered from the indoor unit through the assembly cable."
Am I misunderstanding this or is this a typo? Isn't the 240V single phase 2 pole run to the outdoor unit, and the indoor unit powered from the outdoor unit via a shielded 16-4 wire?
The terminal block on the indoor unit is labeled with:
1(L), 2(N), F1, F2
Terminal block on the outdoor unit is labeled with:
F1, F2, 1(L), 2(N), L, N
Does the 240V 1ph 2p, L1 & L2 land at the outdoor units 1(L) & L? Or am I blowin' it on the terminal nomenclature on this system? Our HVAC guy has done Mitsubishi's but not the Samsung units, could they be that different?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

If the indoor unit has a power cord hanging out of it then it's power to indoor.
Cheers

The samsung units are wired different than the Mitsu. or sanyo. I believe you run (5) 14 guage conductors between the indoor & outdoor units, w/ 240 power(2 hots & ground from breaker). No neutral.
