Variable speed blower motor
I am struggling with a home warranty company about replacing our furnace. One of the features that I've decided I would like is a variable speed blower motor. Like on the Carrier Infinity 80.
The warrany company will only sell me a Payne PG9MAB048100. Can anyone tell me if this model really has a variable speed blower motor. I definitely do not trust the warranty company.
Thank you

You're going to get bottom of the barrel out of a warranty company......
if you want a v/s, offer them the cost difference.....If everything was always done "by the book"....the book would never change.

If you want a Carrier Variable drive then you need to call warranty company and ask for up-grade, then call the company that is to install unit for price and they will tell you the difference. Or cash out with warranty company and buy, the furnace out right. I have alot of customers that choose the up-grade with AHS and the price isn't alot; vs what you pay for Carrier furnace, but, your contract states , replacement with like kind and quality. Payne
