Goodman 2Ton Mini to Amana RE24A2D?

Hi Folks;
I have a 2 ton Goodman Mini Split(WMH24-1A)indoor new.

I am trying to find out if it can be used with a Amana (RE24A2D) Outdoor that is also a 2 ton unit that was purchased by my contractor that is now in the can, both are R-22.

If not is there anywhere I can find a (HDP24-1)Outdoor Unit Janitrol/Goodman/Amana/??? that will work. yes.I am poor and ripped off.

Is the wiring compatable so that the Goodman and the Amana work together and talk to each other?

Yes I have called Goodman and Amana but I am not a tec. so they wouldn't advise me and I have had three tec's out to look at the units and each one has a diffrent idea like "I'll sell you a new system".

Any advice is appreciated.

I have looked on the goodman web site, but found nothing. Their new mini splits are now R-410a. Is it already installed? Did it ever work?

Hi Kevin;

Both of the unit's I have are new and have never been installed. I too have been to Goodmans and the Amana sites and agree that their newer units are R-401a.

Both of the units that I have are both 2 ton units with R-22.

Again both Goodman or Amana will not assist as I am not a installer.

Hi Smokin: I have already checked with Steve from Dordenair in Colorado, by phone three days ago.

He called acouple of frieds in Colorado and could not find me a unit.
