Fyrerite combustion analyzers
Last year I bought a Bacharach combustion analyzer kit (mechanical type) because my boss told me that I had to buy my own. Now they are buying 2 kits to keep at the shop and signed out to the tech that needs one. When I jokingly complained about having to buy my own, he decided to buy a Fyrerite digital analyzer and trade me it for my mechanical one. What do you all think, good deal or not,

Its a great deal.
The digital can also do diagnostics that the fyrite can't.
It will show cracked HX's that you would miss with the fyrite kit.
Depending which model he gets. You may still need a smoke and draft guage.

What kit are you getting? The smoke kit is separate, its the same one as your other kit.

I used the Fyrerite when my Bacharach was in for repair, I'm not a fan of how it's setup compared to the Bacharach, I seem to remember the Fyrerite not being able to do all the types of combustion the Bacharach can do. Unless your doing industrial burners not a big deal. Anyway...Take the trade and run, what does he plan to do with your mechanical one? Nothing like having to do fuel oil with the manual type ahhhhhh!!!
With the Fyrerite/Bacharach the company rep recommends pulling one side of the moisture trap off when your done using it, and if your using it regularly in the winter to leave it in your warm house or make sure it's warm when you plan to use it in the morning.

Very good trade.
That's the one I have. Now you need NCI CO training so you can use it properly.

I'd go for that trade in a heartbeat!
It just seems a little wrong in this modern world to be still shaking one of those dumbells, that are virtually unchanged since their invention in 1932, and is on display at the Smithsonian.
If more government is the answer, then it's a really stupid question.

I was referring to this one.
http://www.entechsupply.com/bacharach/pca.htm
We always just refer to it as the Bacharach lol, only one guy has the 125 model. They didn't want to pay for the higher one because they gave them a deal on the 125
My old college still teaches with their old school suitecase last I checked.
