    Cool I don't know,

With a little reasurch to find the original problem, aside from the now look.

Finding the mechanical situation, and talking to the customer. You could bring up the electrical, control, gas situation.

You might just tighten things up and make some money at the same time. Other than the Tempstar lable, it is just a furnace RTU.

Romex going to the disconnect from the house...but sealtight going from the disconnect to the unit. Go figure.

Looks like where Romex and stat wire emerge from conduit, there's no seal. Gotta love it when it rains!

It never amazes me that people are wiling to accept having a package unit installed on the roof of their house.

Regardless of how hacked that unit is, to me, a package unit on a residential roof is a hack from the get go.

Get a bit creative guys, put that crap in the garage, or a closet, or even better yet, the basement.

Not a very good curb installation either, but then again it matches the rest of the job.
If you really know how it works, you have an execellent chance of fixin' er up!

Looks like a regular unit for CA.

If that was a new install, I would have a problem with it. Looks like it needs some maintance.

    Just a little tender care.

If you really want to see a hack on a res rooftop. Some of these old units had reversed ducting, meaning the supply and return are opposite of what they are nowadays.

Hacks install a new package unit on the old curb, and pipe the supply and return under and over to the other side to connect to the old duct work.

I dont have any pics of it, but it looks like crap and kills the static pressure!

The worst part of it is, its cheaper and easier to rip the unit and curb off, convert it to a down flow with a new curb and change the duct in the attic.

How do you guys see all the details in these pics that are the size of an avatar. Pics like these show up like 2 inch X 2 inch on my end. is there a way to blow these up to see them better? Do i have a setting that needs to be adjusted?
or is just really the size of the pic as the way the poster posts them?
