Outdoor A/C Shut-off Switch
Hello,
Is there any thing in code or a rule of thumb as to how high the outdoor a/c shut-off switch should be mounted? I.E. should it be mounted high enough to keep it out of the snow in winter? I live in Ontario, Canada.
Secondly, what is the best practice to seal up foundation hole the lines run through?
Thanks!

Your local municipal can give you that info. There are different ways to seal the penetration, I like the expanding spray foam. Any hardware store or home depot carries it.

common sense tells me above the snow line and with easy access for saftey
the codes from your building and electrical departments will dictate what is required
i like to use chaulking to seal the holes
