How do you like it?
Do you use it in your work truck?
Is it pretty easy to get online at just about anywhere or only at starbucks or mcdonalds?
Would I be able to sit in the truck at a customers house and get online?
Thanks for the help, just trying to buy what I need the first time."Correct Installation is the Key"

I bought it for work, however I have used it very little. Trying to get online without a close WLAN is difficult. Amonth of Wireless service i.e. wifi card that lugs into your laptop runs about $50 a month.
I was sitting behind Starbucks and had to download T-mobile to get online. Not all Wifi hotspots are free. I was nextdoor to a hotel that had free wifi, but still could not get online.
I like this laptop. Even if it does have Windows Vista. We're awl pawthetic and kweepy and can't get giwrls. That's why we fight wobots.

I'm not a computer geek, just thought I'd share what I found for a first timer w/ a laptop.
Here's what I bought. Circuit City was giving away free CA security software, laptop carrying case, printer and wireless router.

2 gig memory is good with vista....it is a memory pig...1 gig memory minimum or you may not get anything done
go to www.pcworld.com
look for vista....lot of '98 & xp stuff not compatible....strides have been to correct issue

Chaard, if you take Vista off and put XP on that computer it will be much faster. Vista takes alot of memory and is very slow.

I would say any new laptop sold today has wireless on it. It would be very rare to find one without. I like Panasonic TB (toughbook) if price is not an issue. Otherwise, I buy a lot of cheap Dell's. Get the next day warranty with the Dell. I do not like computers with the AMD processors - the one you listed. I now only buy Intel. It cost a few more dollars but they are better. You can also use your phone as a modem depending on what you have. Some phones have bluetooth for communication on them (not the same as bluetooth headset capability). If your laptop has bluetooth on it, you can use your phone as a modem without fumbling around for any cables. I use a Blackberry with a usb cable on verizon. It is fast. I do not worry about finding a wi-fi spot. Just need a phone signal.
