Why Do We Have This Forum?
I know that some of us sort of lobbied for it, but what are the other reasons?
1. Hvac techs know how heat transfers, where as most don't.
2. Beer is a condiment to cooking?
3. Phosphine gas has killed our taste buds, so we need our own recipes?
4. Beer is a condiment to grilling?
5. Are we gay? It's Time To Be Nice To People

1. We all have to eat.
2. Some of us really like to eat.
3. A lot of us like to cook.
4. A lot of us like to drink while cooking.
5. Some like to show off their tools of the trade.
6. It's a nice way to take our minds off the daily grind.
Just a few reasons. Everyone else can add to the list.

Personally I like to cook because it is a hobby. We have a nice Elks Lodge and a VFW post here in town. A group of guys get together and put on a dinner and raise a few dollars for the organizations. We all have our beers and a good time while sharing a common interest. Nothing gay about that!
It is just a natural, I think for people in our industry to have a perpensity to the "hobby" of cooking. We like to serve people. We have out going personalities and like to party. We like to make something from raw materials. We like to make a plan and follow it through. We like to share ideas.
Everyone eats so everyone should be able to cook. To say that cooking is woman's work is like saying sh!ting is manly.Last edited by Green Mountain; 10-05-2007 at 11:17 AM.

"You love to cook so much, you should open a resteraunt.
I said Hell NO! I like to cook to relax, I sure as hell dont want to make that work too!My doctor gave me six months to live, but when I couldn't pay the bill he gave me six months more.

It was fun for a while but became a job about 6 months in. Did it for a year and a half then resigne due to the other side of the bar calling my name

I don't eat out anymore because of all the kitchens I've worked in.
