SIEMENS...CIS Software
Does anyone have a copy of CIS software to access TEC controller subpoints? I use datamate but find it painfully slow in updating subpoint values. I recall that CIS gives you more real time response to changes. I believe there is a newer version that has a windows appearance.
Thanks for the consideration.

WinCIS
Siemens came out with WinCIS but I believe it was for their use only. When I used it (over a year ago) there were still bugs, such as locking up the TEC.

Funny post timing, I'm having the opposite problem.
I have CIS on an older laptop with windows 95 and recently upgraded to a newer laptop with XP.
Now i'm trying to get ahold of datamate.
Should we swap?

Let's not forget BCS.
Why deal with Data Mate when you can have BCS - assuming there happens to be an old computer lying around w/ Win98.

Datamate sucks
Ucis and PTS are all DOS based programs and won't run on anything newer than win98. I even have my xp laptop set up with a dual boot for win 98 and UCIS and PTS won't work. Even the Siemens guys scratch their heads when it comes to the older applications. Datamate constanly crashes and you can't edit code or points with it for a UC. Siemens solution is to replace the UC's.
For TEC's, the dual boot computer set up works great since you really don't do any editing to TEC's. If you're just concerned with looking at TEC's, I would recommend a dual boot set up on your PC. You may need a refresher course on FDISK.
