Ariat Rambler. They have a soft mid length upper that is super flexible when bending down at the knees. ive stepped in water above my foot and never once have my feet gotten wet. soles are somewhat smooth so walking on a wet roof can be sketchy though! if I need to go inside, they slip off super fast for carry into houses.

Got a pair of Red Wing 1412s, awesome boots and super comfy although expensive at $304. I will probably try and get the same boot uninsulated for the summer.

Just got a pair of the American made Thorogoods last week. They seem to be good so far. Run about a 1/2 size small and I think I should have went with a wide. But other than that I'm happy with them. They have that white wedge sole. Vinbranium I think it's called. Doesn't clog up with mud and rocks and has good grip on these Spanish tile roofs they love so much out here in so cal.

The problem I have with work boots is that the tread wears out pretty quickly walking from one end of a apartment complex to another (I put on anywhere from five to ten miles a day). So I go with these, and I buy two pairs at a time that way I can switch boots everyday

I know they are cheaper but for me they work. I buy the same style once a year.

O.k. I pulled the trigger. I've only had them a few days, but I'm optimistic, the feel great! I found these boots on ebay for $54 plus ship. I just checked, they are going for less than that today (of course) here is a link.

They are very comfortable, and the size is slightly larger than normal, but bigger is better than smaller. In my opinion, a great deal. At this price, I can buy 5 pairs for the cost of 1 pair of redwings. Just sayin...Name: image.jpg

Danner boots are by far the best and most expensive boots around. You can't go wrong with all leather uppers.
The current ones that I have were around $300.00http: Danner boots can be recrafted by replacing the outsole, reworking the leather and restitching the seams. My boots are 12 years old and sill look new when I spit shine them.

Hope I'm not sounding like a salesmen for Danner?

Our uniform is black jacket, black no scratch belt, and black safety boots. So I'm limited as far as color.

    Yes.

Just purchased a new pair a few days ago, and since I started wearing them about 3 years ago, I haven't purchased any other brand.

I heard there was a safety warning or recall on Redwings. Has anyone else heard it?

Kenetrek are my favorite boots. Expensive at 3-500 a pair, but a quality unseen in other brands. Danner USED to have this type if quality, but have since seen a decline due to outsourcing and the use of cheaper materials.

Check out the pair I wear daily and my brother has worn daily for going on four years now.

These Ariats are great. They're light like tennis shoes and comfortable all day. I have the waterproof ones and they kept my feet dry all winter. The tread isn't deep or aggressive so they're great for residential and not tracking dirt. I had the non-waterproof ones before these and i still wear them occasionally on real dirty jobs. I wore them about a year and a half before getting the waterproof.

I must be the only one rockin bates USMC issue jungle boots on desert color. They were given to me 5 years ago. Cold in the winter, hot in the summer, added insoles for shoe-like comfort. Cant kill them. I need some new boots, but they are gonna look like these quick.
