    Question Gas Furnace Control Board

THIS IS A BASIC RESIDENTIAL SYSTEM I THINK IT CALLED A SPLIT FOR THE TO F-ING MORRONS, ELK AND TWILLDLE DEE! Is this true that setting the fan switch to the "on" AS OPPOSED TO THE AUTO SETTING WHICH IS AVAILBLE on ANY BASIC THERMOSTAT DIGITAL OR NON... on today systems as compared to the old style with out the PC-BOARDS. THIS MEANS IT MIGHT JUST HAVE A FAN/LIMIT SWITCH.

Im am being told that in the "on" position if you switch the system over from "cool" selection to "heat" that the fan will switch over to the slower speed. I did notice that there is a blower motor speed change relay (spdt) as well as a blower motor relay, (spst-no) ON THE PC BOARDS.
    THANKS FOR NOTHING!

yes its true. old style would bring on the fan in whatever speed ac used (usually high) some circuit boards now energize a lower speed on a call for fan. i see no improvement in that. variable speed motors aside the benefits to having a "fan on" are for increased filtration or evening out temps, as in stratification. not to mention that a psc motor is going to use more power in low than high.
