Hahahahahahaha oversized CCH. He could've at least put some long self tappers with a washer to hold it in place.

This compressor was replaced about a year ago. It was rotated to make the piping easier so no mounting bolts. Suction line king valve elevated an inch or two, so also not mounted. Crankcase heater too big and barely touching compressor. Filter/drier not changed. Both condenser fan run capacitors dangling from the wires. I was there for a burned contactor that should have also been replaced. Overall quality work...... Ha

Why do these lazy people keep doing this? Oh well. They probably got paid top dollar for that compressor replacement too.

Hacks.
They could have at least drilled a couple holes and bolted it down. I wouldn't have wasted my time even trying to put that heater on.
Why do people never pick up a new drier when they get the compressor.
whats a suction line king valve..... never heard of one..... and I agree with you some poor workmanship there......
it was working.... played with it.... now its broke.... whats the going hourly rate for HVAC repair
Your sposed to jam a rock in the crankcase heater to take up the slack.
Never seen a compressor--scroll or recip-- with the suction line that low. Doesn't look like the compressor could hold but a few ounces of oil.
The rock absorbs the heat and slowly releases the heat during the CCH off cycle, providing further energy savings.
That there's fancy.
