I got a 1500 vulcan nomad, Just got back from Bikes blues and barbecue rally. But I prefer the hardbags and windshield look myself. Specially with that beefy 1500 rollin thunder out my two exhaust pipes. Not the fastest bike but it'll cruise at 90 and purrrrrrr. Kawasaki makes a fine bike. Had the concourse. Loved it. Eats corners like cake at a fat kid convention. *which is just as fun as it sounds*

But...alas..I have never been a harley fan I owned a 02 sportster 883. That's probably my problem is I had an 883 with solid engine mounts and all that but I hadn't been riding long and it was all I could afford. It was in perfect condition and I miss it, and I hate it at the same time..

I'm thinking..bobber this next bike..maybe Crossbones hd what you think?

Check out sucker punch sallys motorcycles just google it saw them at BBB I like the style.

I totally understand some of your comments about friends getting killed. Over the past 35 years, I've lost count. I won't stop living for being afraid of dying. When you do, you're already dead.

    I mostly ride a Bonneville

I ride the Triumph the most, but I have a Suzuki GS-500 that I'm pretty fond of too. <g>

All my other bikes just sit these days.

Can't believe this thread is still going. I still have the suzuki c50, ride it all the time. Thinking of upgrading to a RoadKing.

Old bike problems...Like I said I have an HD Sturgis low rider.
The last three times I rode These things happened. #1 On the interstate I suddenly find my front brake lever is no longer on the bike.
#2 The next ride my clutch goes so far out of adjustment I had to kill the motor. #3 Saturday, riding through the mountains I loose my rear brakes completely.
Now some might think I don't take care of the bike. That's not true. Some might think I'm just a crappy mechanic. Also not true. While it is a Harley, it was built when AMF was running Harley and didn't build the best bikes around. But I think that anything that vibrates like this bike really can't stay together.
The speed limit was 55 back then and it's quite nice at 55. However at 75 things get interesting.

Oh ya. I was at Bonneville last month and on the 18th a Hayabusa that didn't look like all that much was done to it (I have x ray vision) ran what I think was 219 mph but not a record.
