Exagerations are every where. I had a guy tell me without a blink that a cop radar checked him on his stock HD Road King at 145mph. He never blinked.

    Another thing....do cops do this?

Accidents happen but it sounds like you need different friends or friends who know how to ride. I ride with alot of people and have for quite a while and I am nowhere close to that type of list. I also hope to not EVER get a list like that. Sorry to hear about your friends.

Iam not asking for you to believe me, just telling you about one of my great experiences on a motorcycle.

I went with a buddy of mine who would go ever month, and his bike beat mine. He had a ducatia 996. Its cost about 800 bucks to run at the track with them tracking you every second.

Jeez.... I had a near miss like that only a month ago... A red mule deer ran down the ditch as I eccelerated to get by her.... she paniced and ran right in front of my bike... I slowed down enough for her to clear my front wheel... but got the sting of her tail on the knuckles of my left hand. We both had an understanding............ "WHEW!!!"

    I have an TT-500

    Slim,

That 500 is currently 'under the knife' on my bench, but I just have the cam end seals and came cover to put back on and then the engine and gearbox is done.

I would love to have an SR.

I almost always ride a KE-175 in the dirt. <g> The 500 is almost always too big for what I mostly do which is poking around on woods trails.

When I first say your post I pictured a GB-500 which a really great looking bike and one I've always wanted. Then I realized it said XT and just as quick: Hey! I've got one of those! <g>
I bought it at a yard sale for $25.
