    Hmm FX 40 Reports

The FX40 is a fantastic supervisor, but with one weak link..........reports.

Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically export files or reports of any kind in a 'Stand-Alone' FX40?

I cannot locate the Report Jar. I believe I have the latest version of FX Workbench and Workbench Pro

I pretty sure the latest JCI version is only 3.0.106.

Are you referring to a JACE or a JCI FX40

The people at JCI never heard of a Report Jar

Perhaps you can email me this REPORT JAR

I do Honeywell, so I am not that familiar with the JCI stuff but I was under the impression an FX40 was just a Johnson branded Jace 403. If I am wrong then disregard my posts. If I am correct then I could send you the jar, but if you are not running ver 3.2 in your FX40 then it will not do you any good.

    fculotta,

Since FX40 is based on AX 3.0, report.jar (3.2 based report service) will refuse to work under it.

Actually, in 3.0, you can still get some pretty good reports, but it's behind the stage. Search "BQL" in help. If you know how to use it, you will find AX has a far more powerful reporting capability than those systems only give you some pre-set reports.

And if you know a little bit of JAVA, you will know using a program object to automatically export these reports are really not that difficult. And I believe Tridium has included an example program object.

AX is really a fantastic tool if you happen to know a little bit computer coding. JAVA programming in workbench will unleash the true power of this framework! For normal users, Report Service in 3.2 is the answer.

Looks like you will have to wait until JCI goes to rev 3.2, sorry.
