Have a gas pilot question on a heat and glow fireplace. It's a 8000TDR Nat gas log set. The system has a powerpile and a thermocouple. The pilot flame impinges on the power pile but falls short of the thermocouple. The set looses the pilot flame irregularly. The pilot flame is weaker than it should be. I can't adjust it any higher. Gas pressure is 5.38"in. Going back to look at the pilot assembly. The pilot gas tube is 1/8" od, so I am looking for an obstruction.
Is there an orifice or restrictor plate on the pilot assembly or gas valve connections of the tube?
This is a robertshaw 710 LC gas valve. The pilot set-up, except for the bracket is also common.
The inside of the fireplace is cold cold cold, so makes me wonder if there is condensate in the tube.
