    screw retro

    anyone try to retro a screw with a recip before? have a 70hp hartford that went down and am thinking of tandeming a couple copeland discus 35hp into it. repiping with help from reciprocating refrigeration book and using a w7900 to control it. any other idea or people who have tried this before?

    Replace it with a Hanbell or a Hitachi screw and be done with it. The recips will work fine, I just think theres alot of extra labor involved.

    Only thing is timeline, love the hitachi's and would have done it in a second if one was available, didnt check hanbell. Checked out bitzer though but havent ever seen them used in this app.

    60 is too small 100 is too big
    hanbell hc-17 looks promising
    will probably end up going with the recips due to the fact they are on the shelf in town
