copeland compressors and refrigeration oil
question, are all copeland rebuilt compressors shipped with poe automatically nowadays, including high temp applications? i ask this because we have a customer that had a compressor failure about 6 months ago. the customer is a healthcare facility with its own maintenance staff. they changed the compressor themselves. the unit has a low pressure lockout switch, with time delay heater. it will intermittently trip the switch, watched it all day today, no lockouts, good operation. after i left, i wondered if it had poe oil in it, scavenging pipes, and intermittently blocking txv or drier. forgot to check compressor oil, hindsight is 20-20. any thoughts?

No, but the oil type is part of the model number
KAJB-0075-IAA-800 5 = mineral oil
KAJB-007A-IAA-800 A = A/B oil
KAJB-007E-IAA-800 E = POE
4DA3R18M0-TSK-800 0 = mineral oil
4DA3R18ME-TSK-800 E = POE
3DB3F22K0-TFC-800 0 = mineral oil
3DB3F22KE-TFC-800 E = POE
no "A" in Discus (A/B oil)
this won't apply to a non Copeland rebuilt
