    38AE014500 made in 1986.What is the tonnage.Where can I find a schematic online?

    The 38s are resi splits, the ones I have run into anyway. Its an old model as well. Do have access to HVAC Partners? You might get better help in the res forum.

    Any Carrier model starting with 38 is a condensing unit. This one is commerical (12.5 tons) and is going to be paired with an air handler that begins with "40" in the model number.

    You can find wiring diagrams through Carrier's Epic software. Your shop or local supplier should have the program.
