rtaa/rtac replacement fan motors
has anyone found a replacement for these motors outside of ma trane

Please do not do that!
You are not going to find one that will make you happy. I know ours is not cheap but there was a lot of engineering that went into it.

I have seen other motors that work and I have even called to get pricing on some. I can't remember the make of the motors, but I ended up getting one from Trane because they were about $50 less and they even had some on the shelf. Don't forget to get a new fan blade.

You could try some of the other Trane suppliers. I've used Midwest and Tarrant as well as the local supplier. Don't forget to factor in freight charges.
