    Wanting to relocate to Tenn

I'm just shooting this out to see if anyone out there has any idea of what I might be up against..........I was visiting with my wife and we kinda would like the idea of relocating to Tenn. to be closer to my brother. I have Well over 20 yrs experience and am versed on everything from refrigration to chillers to running ammonia plants. My question is what is the best way if it is at all possibe to find if there are any decent job oppurities and if so how the heck does one check out that company. I don't want to just open the newspaper and take just any job, been there done that, I would only go to work for a very respectable honost, good company. And absolutely NO residental, so is it possible to find a good company without being in that area?

Your first approach should be to decide where in TN you'll be living. If it's Eastern, go to McKenny's in Chattanooga or Perfection Services in Knoxville.

Otherwise go to http://www.mcaa.org/directory/ to look up the union shops (hence - no residential) or www.mepatwork.com for a complete rundown.

    moving to tennessee

Hey, what part of tennessee or you moving to?
I'm in florida and my wife and I are talking about moving to east tennessee, we have property there and plan to retire there, the problem is there are not many hvac companies around, so I'm taking my test(s) to get my license and start my own company. I have been in the trade 18 years, and have many certifications, but all the companies I worked for would fire you if you obtained a state license so I never took the test, give me a shout back we may be able to help each other.

    Mike
