For automotive air conditioning questions, I would go to http://acsource.net/acforum/viewforu...c3229fa5754775 Those guys can answer most any automotive a/c question you might have.

Try 35 and 250 on a car, Ha there is more to it. Just because the pressures are right don't mean it should be cold. I could tell you things that would make your ears burn just to here it. A car is a basically a 4 ton unit. The rules change all of the time.

My Dodge has a 5 ton. I hear Fords use left over window units.

Im looking for ball park bud....If you asked me what the pressures should be for r-22 on a 5 ton package 74F outside, i would say 65/225 roughly. Im looking for what the pressures (Should) be ..If i can fix a 5 ton heatpump, i shouldnt have any problems. Its not that complicated. same theory

I retract my statment. All rules apply. Just like E=Mc squared. We play by the universal rules. It is up to us to figure out what is going wrong. Do we ever think about the things that we are doing right?

You will need to run a Manual J to charge it right and you should also be Nate Certified to
really know how to charge a car, also I would not get caught charging it without a permit.

Roy, I just started my truck and stuck my head in between the condenser and fan that is the back
side or exit of the condenser right? and my face just got lukewarm, I don't have any hair or ears left
but I know my truck is charged right.

You will never figure me out. I used to have a little pig. I have a dergee in fire fighting, I graduated from the University of HK. I do cryogenics, but not like freezing frogs. Only down to -420F though. The books and you guys keep me going. I like to goof some times. There are some guys here that drive trains.

A serious answer. Open the window of the vehicle, run the idle at 1500 rpm, I place a 20 inch cheapy box fan in front of the condenser. At 85 to 90º, look for 30-35lbs low side 225 to 255 high side for a 134a system. If the high side is much higher, mist a water hose on the condenser. If the high side drops like a rock, consider replacing the the fan clutch. They fail often, especially the Fords.
