Which airport??
Is Raleigh the only big airport close by? Will that cost like $100 extra for a ride from there? I saw a thread about flights but can't find it.

Honestly
Raliegh has cheaper flights than Charlotte and Atlanta. Try southwest airlines, it is pretty good. Salisbury and Greensboro are not that far.

airport
If you want to drive 1>2 hours after you land there are cheaper fares. Here is the link to greensboro airport

OK So neither Orbitz nor any of the other sites recognize PTI and recommend using GSO. Is this a major difference or should I just try to book it through the airline?

Greensboro Airport and Piedmont Triad International Airport are the same thing. Don't as me why I just live here. When ordering on-line tickets Liz says it's GSO. PTI is what it's called around here.
