Question Central heating/AC system versus Central AC plus heating boards

I am currently in the process of renovating a 2,000 sq feet house in Long Island, NY. I have currently heating boards and separate air conditioners. I was planning to install central AC, but my contractor suggested that we could get rid of the heating boards, since they are not in top shape and install Central heating/AC system. I have oil furnace. Any suggestions if this is the right approach or I should just replace the heating boards and add Central AC. Thanks in advance.

If you can get a good warm air system with a/c you will be good. How about dual fuel using a heat pump and oil?
Aire Serv of SW Connecticut- Gas heat, dual fuel and central a/c systems installed and serviced
