Geothermal Water Lines Dark
I have had my geothermal system up and running for 6 months and now my water lines are dark, is that accepatable. I live in NOrth Texas and the water was initially clear. It seems to me that somehow I have air in my pipes or there is some corrosion going on. I have vertical loops and all of the water pumps have the dark water?????

what type of pipe are they using for your loops? the pipe we use is black so if yours is black how are you seeing into it if its a closed loop? and if your opening it somewhere to inspect it then yes it will have air in the loop. the pipe we use is non metallic so i dont really see how corrosion could be your problem.

they are clear pipes. I haven't opened the system at all. I did notice after they were installed they were clear and in the last couple of months they have been getting darker.
