You have a furnace control circuit board and a Blower control board in the unit .depending on the year of the unit the new control board comes as upgrade kit and your not going to be able to buy it from amazon .call a reputable contractor ,as 325 for a diagnostic is kinda steep
    We really need change now

Thanks for all the replies, for all I was not the techs that looked at the heater, I am the one that is looking to fix it though as I had it with Paying for nothing, American standard says one board is an IFC board and the other a defrost board. That is what prompted my question. Before I pay either one of the techs anymore monies I would purchase both and install them myself,

Why would you have paid either of them if they didn't fix it?

Did anyone actually look to see if either the exhaust or intake pipes were blocked? Drain is clear?

you should call them back and demand good service. you have already paid for it TWICE and it still does not run. they should come out and diagnose it for free. and maybe even not make you pay labor to fix it. if any of my techs did this, you would only pay for parts. this is very wrong, and should be fixed even if only to save a customer from bad press.
