Non Invasive Flow Meters.
Any of you guys ever had to install a non invasive/transit time flow meter?
I'm trying to find one that will work with a pipe size of up to 4". I've called about a few and gotten the "We'll call you back" and of course that never turns into anything.
Just figured I'd see if anyone here has ever dealt with any.
Thanks,

Did you look at the Onicon F4000 series?

I have. We're shooting for something mobile and from what I could tell, the Onicon may be a bit too big. Ideally, I wish I could find a meter that would send out a 4-20 mA signal and not have a huge display panel with it. Unfortunately, I think I'm ahead of technology on this one.
Thanks for the input Digo.

Portables will ALL have some sort of display panel/keypad, because you have to have a method to enter variables such as pipe diameter, schedule, material, etc. Sorry.

We have a Fuji portable ultrasonic meter we use for flow testing. There is a company that sells a made in China ultrasonic meter that looked interesting:

Price was very affordable and the company is local to me, and seem very responsive.

What is the reason for 'needing' the non-invasive? because it will never be as accurate as a proper flow element.

Thanks for the replies guys.

We're needing something that can be moved from site to site and can gather information and relay it back to us. I understand that a transit time flow meter won't be as accurate as a proper insert type, but "mobile" is the key here.
