## Need to convert 6.1 psi to ft of water column

I came up with 14.1. Can someone check to see if this is correct? I havent done this calc in a long time

3. water column is .433 psi/ft and 2.31 ft/psi you are good. 2.31ft/psi * 6.1 ft = 14.08 so 14.1 is close eough

2.31 ft/psi * 6.1 psi = 14.1 ft

5. Yup 6.1 psi if this were physics I would have gotten at least 1/3 off for that

0.433675599 pounds per square inch, so 14.06.
So you're right.

Why are you expressing a pressure that high in water column? 6.1 psi is 316mmHg
Usually water columns are used to express much lower pressures like static pressure or point-of-use fuel pressure dealing with fractional pounds of pressures since 1 psi = 27.7 inches of water.

Roughly 2 feet per pound...................stomping one foot at a time then pounding chest- thats how I remember
