    York blues

I come across many leaking York aluminum coils. You know the low line guardian/York units they leak at the copper connections... I tell the customers they are non repairable unless replaced. Usually units are not in great shape and do not recommend repacement of the coil, also the coils. So at the end of the day I am the bad guy for telling the customer what they don't want to hear, bad news replace whole unit. Who else has these issues with the customers blaming you for something that you've never touched or even serviced aver.

Us being the bad guy when the cheaply built unit has problems is common.

This is the microchannel coil? Are these still in warranty or not? Guessing not. York isn't helping?

Doesn't matter to me if its under warranty or not when it's ninety degrees outside and the coil is three weeks away. Oh and by the way you need 6 or 8 pds r-22 behing the labor charge, Not worth the piece of junk to put that much money into. then have to replace the coil and compressor cause it's been damaged from running low on Freon for four yrs.
